When my father died, I woke up suddenly, like you wake up after a party where you weren’t having fun and you even drank the perfume in the bathroom. It’s morning, you wake up and you feel bad, but the worst thing is that you don’t remember anything, and there’s a mess to clean up. And your dad, who was good at cleaning up, is no longer here. That’s how my fabulous 90s ended. The end of a party, the birth of a new awareness.
Like Telemachus, but older and overweight, I started looking for my father and his story as a partisan, and prisoner, but even more so for his Odyssey back to an Italy devastated by war.
Hoping to find a lesson on how to put things right.
Alongside Andrea, the inseparable Giorgio Gobbo, who, with his guitar, experiments, creating a new repertoire based on songs from the forties, partisan songs and contemporary music.
