Yet it doesn’t take much: just find an episode that resonates with your personal experience and you can use it as a crowbar to enter a fortress full of treasures barely veiled by time, intimidated and humble in the face of beauty.
The story was chosen as close as possible to the original one of the first great narrator of history, to allow each of the spectators to “see” in their own mind, to fill the words of the narration with images of their own experience and imagination aided by the music composed specifically by Giorgio Gobbo and Sergio Marchesini, played live by Gobbo.
The narrator uses his school memories, his father who gives him a copy of the Iliad, and from here he sets off on a story where Bush and Agamemnon, Homer and Kill Bill, San Siro (in the sense of the stadium) and Iraq, judo masters and heroes of mythology meet.
Framed by two swords meant to symbolize the armies of the Trojans and the Achaeans, the story makes the city of Troy a “rogue state” and the beautiful Helen the first case of “war disinformation” in history, offering endless food for thought on the violence and economics of war and on the true nature of heroism.
