Musica per ciarlatani, ballerine & tabarin

Compagnia Catalyst / Camillocromo

Loose cannons or ingenious madmen? Musicians or charlatans? These are the dilemmas that continue to divide critics around the globe.

The Camillocromo phenomenon is now widespread, engaging and contagious, although the secret of its success remains hidden and well guarded. Escaping from definitions and labels, “Musica per Ballerine Ciarlatani e Tabarin” continues to tour the theaters and squares of Italy like a carousel, crossing over into the most exotic Europe, providing great laughter and unforgettable evenings. An orchestra of five musicians in tuxedos will drag you into retro musical atmospheres with circus suggestions and Fellini-esque colors, presenting a concert-show full of surprises and twists. Swing, tango, waltz and Balkan sounds meet in the original compositions, created by the eccentric minds of Camillocromo. Your foot taps restlessly and you would like to dance… but you won’t have the time! The six characters captivate the audience, transporting them into an imaginary Tabarin, with daring attractions and “comiconiric” deliriums, like in a variety show of times gone by.

So another dilemma arises: Music or Theater? The answer is not obvious and imagining is not enough… it’s up to you to discover it! The elegant orchestra gradually reveals its madness, the musicians become irresistible characters who use music, instruments and words to transport the audience into a magical world of notes, poetry and laughter.
