LA PICCIONAIA - I CARRARA

Titino Carrara takes us into his childhood as a wanderer, into the memory of one of the last still active artistic families in our country: the Carraras. It is the story of a nomadic and gypsy existence, far from the bourgeois patterns to which our society has tended from the post-war period to the present day. A subject that addresses the theme of diversity, revealing a social fabric, belonging to Italian history, made of caravans and mobile theaters, expedients and boundless theatrical repertoires, sometimes recited on the spot and measured on the need and extemporaneous taste of the square. Taste on which the real survival of a family depended, which founded in art the only possibility of sustenance.
