RADIO ARGO is a contemporary rewriting of the Oresteia, which however retains a high, at times lyrical language, avoiding actualizations that place the story in contemporary events.
Mazzotta, through a clear, essential direction, passes from one character to another (from Iphigenia to Orestes, passing through a radio commentator who plays the chorus) in a path that recomposes character after character a precise scheme made of microphone stations that become scenic installations.
With this show Peppino Mazzotta won the 2011 National Association of Theatre Critics Award for interpretation and direction.
