Gene mangia gene, is a bilingual show in Italian and Campidanese Sardinian.
The performance, tinged with caustic irony, allows for careful reflection on the foods we put on the table and shows us, ourselves:
excited and sweaty while driving a trolley through the aisles of a supermarket;
happy and eager for “something good” while watching TV;
falsely contrite for the death of a worker on a banana plantation;
participating in Monsanto’s pain;
attentive spectators of a boxing match between Bacillu Turigentis and Acido Cloridrico;
and curious spies on the arguments between Donna Bisodia and her continental daughter-in-law.
