Cantiere “belli da mettere in scena”
A short and violent life, an epic burned in a few months, were enough to consign Jules Bonnot and his gang to history as “the first car robbers”. Films, books and ballads have been dedicated to the tragic figure of Bonnot. In 2001, the publishing house Feltrinelli re-released a book by Pino Cacucci – already published in 1994 by Longanesi – which, despite being a novel, faithfully reconstructs the story through the chronicles of the time and police reports. “In any case, no remorse”: the title takes up one of the last sentences written by Bonnot, besieged in an old farmhouse in Choisy-le-Roy, on the outskirts of Paris.
