Childhood memories are largely made up of smells: bread and milk, chocolate, earth, water, mud, moss, wax, resin and wood, asphalt… We are intrigued by the idea of making those who don’t know them smell the acrid smells of carbide and sulfur and of trying to tell the “forbidden games” of which, for entire generations of children, they were the ingredients.
