Ecuba, ultimo atto – Anteprima

Cada Die Teatro / Sardegna Teatro

A tribute to Fabrizio De Andrè.
In the hope that one day,
“on the sea and on the land, Marcondiro’ndera”
peace may break out.

for a round dance on the rubble of the world
by Giancarlo Biffi

“When a child loses his parents they call him an orphan; when a wife loses her husband, a widow. But what name should I be given: a mother, when misfortune takes her children away?”
There is always something superior to aspire to and for which one must overcome the other. Hecuba the mother, a woman who is first and foremost a politician, seeks a way in the night.
She questions herself and questions us but the wheel always turns in that direction: one never wins and one almost always loses.
Hecuba knows it, as do her daughters.
Cassandra sees what everyone can see, it is in the nature of things.
Polyxena is too free, she cannot be a slave, for this she will have to be sacrificed. A scapegoat is necessary to move forward, to start over.
It matters little if one dies for love: “man kills what he loves”. Giancarlo Biffi
