Espera is a participatory circus show where the audience is gently invited to experience first-hand the acrobatics that happen on stage. When the boundary between the stage and the audience disappears, the show becomes an opportunity to share a collective experience, where we look at each other in the face with strangers and listen with our bodies. In an atmosphere that transports us to a place out of time, made of simple gestures, the acrobats become artisans of movement and lost landscapes appear, full of human gestures and sincere encounters.
THE CIRCUS AS A MEETING PLACE Our starting point is the need of the human being to gather around something in common. During the show we walk together with the audience the path that unites the current language of acrobatic research with the atemporal language of traditions and popular rites. Delicacy becomes an indispensable tool to gain the trust of the spectator. We want them to feel invited to share and not forced to participate against their will.
