GATTI MÉZZI / GUASCONE TEATRO

Andrea Kaemmerle e Gatti Mèzzi

The play is the fruit of deep love and admiration for two great contemporary authors, Jean Claude Izzo from Marseilles and Alvaro Mutis from Colombia, whose skillful writing allows them to change the course of the destiny of their land. The play has overwhelmingly comic, but also deep overtones, classic literature stained by the cocktail sauce left by careless cruise passengers, frescos of the seedy harbour taverns with grafts of banquets in the sumptuous dining halls on the yachts.
Izzo and Mutis have already inspired lyrics by Fabrizio De André and Gian Maria Testa, but this time the new songs by Gatti Mézzi float on wings of these emotions. Andrea, Tommaso and Francesco give substance to this salty catalogue of humanity, an army of affable sinners.
