Associazione Internazionale di Teatro Gascone was born in 1989, from the desire of 5 actors to immerse themselves hand and foot in the world of conceiving, doing, distributing shows; all this was seasoned with the mischievous instinct to provoke (although poetic), from the need to feel like a group, a team, a company. The Gascons of the windmills.
An unlikely creature born from the passionate marriage between a filibuster and a housewife.
Gascon as an idea capable of bringing together gypsy and ramshackle raids with the idea of a protected island, a home where one can rest and cuddle poetry, wonder, enchantment.
In 15 years, these seeds have given birth to a theatre school, two festivals for alternative spaces, cellars, farmyards, squares, alleys, oil mills.
More than 30 shows have been created (9 of which are still happily alive) which are very different from each other, from prose to big events, from words to clowns.
All this was a good excuse to travel a lot, meet people, great artists like DEREVO from St. Petersburg, Slava Polunin, Carlo Monni, Bustric, Sandro Berti, Laura Curino… but also more than 400 students, many cooks, agricultural producers, other artists for one evening.
Then, the desire to build solid relationships becomes stronger and stronger, the need to light up a good future for this job, for this company, every day.
So the collaborations, the co-productions, the contaminations and still other journeys and other roads, other faces, other mouths.
15 years later, a little fatter, a little more skilled and experienced, with a higher agenda, with the same desire to immerse ourselves hand and foot (heart and head in tow) in this world.

Romeo e Giulietta stanno bene
ANDREA KAEMMERLE / ANNA DI MAGGIO / SILVIA RUBES
Brand new production by Guascone Teatro, debut August 2017. From an old idea by Kaemmerle, this show was born with the complicity of Anna Di Maggio and Silvia Rubes. The show is very funny and recalls (almost quoting them) many masterpi...
