Rossolevante

ROSSOLEVANTE is a creative ensemble of performing artists born in Ogliastra (Sardinia) in December 2002 on the occasion of the staging of Caligola by Albert Camus and established as a non-profit association in January 2007. Sicuro? …Sicuro! – Le nuovissime avventure di Pinocchio

ROSSOLEVANTE

"We started from the story of Pinocchio, which everyone knows, to write and scenically invent new adventures for this character who has been part of the collective imagination for many years. The point of view we adopted, the lens through which we reviewed all his adventures, is that of safety. All-round safety, to tell children how precious this body that is lent to us is and how much we must learn to take care of it in all aspects of our lives....

ROSSOLEVANTE

A journey made up of many small stories, created starting from some of the most fascinating Persian tales of the Sufi tradition that intertwine with the stories of the Hasidic tradition (Central-Eastern European Judaism). To recreate the magic of the "One Thousand and One Nights". Reference text: Sufi Tales (RED Edizioni), by Gialàl ad-Din Rumi. Founder of the brotherhood of the "dancing dervishes", Rumi (1207-1273) is considered by many, throug...

Stop making sense

ROSSOLEVANTE

Stop Making Sense (SMS) is part of a multi-year research project called In Movimento that places the encounter with otherness at the center of the scenic work. That is: not so much the inclusion of the individual performer as an individual with a handicap, but rather as a bearer of a different ability. SMS includes people of different ages, genders, geographical origins, skills, psycho-physical conditions, abilities. For us at Rossolevante, theat...

Redemption song

ROSSOLEVANTE

In the beginning there was an idea. There was the desire to talk about God (sic). What is this God? What do we seek in this Father who has forgotten us, but whom everyone seems never to forget? What are we looking for in this being, in this world, in this life that is ours, but never fully belongs to us? Where do our children come from, what is this something that has no name and yet exists, and have we at least once touched it with the fingers...

31^ SAGRA DEL VINO: Giorni rubati D10, D11

ROSSOLEVANTE

The starting point in the creation of this work was the terrible accident suffered by a young worker friend of ours: It was one of those warm autumns that struggle to give way to winter. It was Tuesday and I was already thinking about what I would do on Sunday. That Sunday never came and never will. Now stop and tell me: are you happy? No, not in five years, not in ten. Now, now - tell me: are you happy? This is where the story of Giammarc...

Viaggio al termine di una stanza

ROSSOLEVANTE

«The idea for the show came to me following a Sunday visit to the Nivola Museum in Orani. His Lettini – real miniaturized theaters – unleashed that mix of associations-dreams-fantasies that overwhelms me every time the idea of a new show makes its way into me. The bed: that object-place in which we spend a good part of our human experience and in which the most important things happen: love, birth, rest, reading, arguments, solitude, d...

Una via Crucis

ROSSOLEVANTE

The theater seems to be the only way left to listen to old stories and repeat what the rest of the world denies and erases. The last way. So uncomfortable, so unpopular, so tiring. It speaks to few, it does not break through any screen, it does not accept commercial breaks, it cannot be shouted, it feeds on pain. But it is made of flesh, it knows no special effects except that, yes, of conscience and emotion, it keeps people in the square, those ...

Colui che sapeva contare

ROSSOLEVANTE

"He Who Knew How to Count" is a show that is aimed at the many for whom mathematics is an incomprehensible nightmare. It is a narration that is structured around a series of extraordinary sleight of hand tricks performed not with cards but with numbers. By delving into the exploration of numerical systems, one understands better and better the laws and mechanisms that govern them, one encounters prime numbers and triangular numbers, magic squares...

ROSSOLEVANTE

Because whoever remains far from his Origin always seeks the time when he will be reunited there. The souls descended to earth from the Father's House with a ladder, which was then withdrawn. Now from up there the souls are called back to their homeland. Some do not move from their place; how can one go to heaven without a ladder? The others make a leap, fall back, make another leap, fall back again, and give up. There are, however, some who kno...
