Composer, instrumentalist, researcher, born in Cagliari and began his career at a very young age in groups researching and historical-critical recovery of popular music.

In 1977 he founded the group Suonofficina that opens traditional Sardinian music to encounters and experiments with those of the entire Mediterranean. Record tracks: Pingiada – Fonit Cetra ; Iandimironnai – Playgame Music. He then specialized in the study of dance rhythms, creating a technique that allowed him to apply the language of the ancient “nodas” of the launeddas on the mandola.

In 1979 he met the singer Elena Ledda, with whom he shared choices and projects that resulted in an intense and fruitful concert and recording activity (Ammentos, 1979, Sonos, 1989, Incanti, 1994, Maremannu, 2000, Cantendi a Deus 2009, Làntias 2017). He met the great protagonists of international culture on stages all over the world, also through a rich activity in the field of stage music. He composed original music for the films “Venti di Jazz”, “Nel Paese di Eleonora”, “Filo di Seta”, “La Destinazione” “il sogno dei Pastori” and for the period films “Cainà”, “Cenere”, “Sonos ‘e memoria”, “Fiorenzo Serra”; in the theatre field he signs the music for the literary shows “Cristiani di Allah”, “Mare Chiuso”, “Cronache Italiane”, “Scavi Storie di Minino”, “Persiane Azzurre” and for the dance shows “Etnika”, “Danze dal Mare”, “Tango Dream” and “Transumare”; his recordings: “Cainà”, “A volte ritornano”, “Il colore del maestrale”, “Mare chiusi” with Maurizio Camardi, “Voglio un chilo di pane” with Tama trio, Palma de Sols, Meigama with Francesco Medda.

He directed the docu film “Miradas” dedicated to Mare e Miniere, a travelling festival of which he has been artistic director for twenty years.
