Il Mutamento, a global culture association, is a theatre production company that has been working in the field of research and innovation theatre, theatre for children and young people, social theatre and community theatre for over twenty years.
The Mutamento shows are on tour in seasons, events and festivals in Italy and abroad.
Il Mutamento also promotes festivals, reviews and training cycles such as the ISAO festival, now in its 27th edition (winter 2020); “Summer Kids” a theatre review for children and families, “Stories of other worlds”, a review of theatre, music, dance, visual and figurative arts; Other national and European cooperation projects in the pipeline.
Il Mutamento benefits from the collaboration and consultancy of Alejandro Jodorowsky and Jean-Claude Carrière, two extraordinary artists of world renown. The Association also benefits from the professional quality of internationally renowned artists such as Mamadou Dioume (The Word of the Birds, 2000, Shakespeare’s Secret: The Tempest, 2014), Sotigui Kouyatè, winner of the Silver Bear for Best Actor in 2009 (actor in Flowers and the short film Nel ventre del bambino, 2008), both actors and collaborators of Peter Brook; Marcel.lì Antunez Roca (Cotrone, 2011); Ernesto Tomasini and Julia Kent (Mamma Schiavona, 2014; Svalbard, the Land Where No One Dies, 2018).
The artistic director, director and playwright Giordano V. Amato is joined, in the productions of the year 2015, by the figure of Alessandra Rossi Ghiglione, playwright, director, expert in social theatre; she carries out training, research and theatrical planning activities for public bodies, companies and international organizations; she conceived and has been directing for ten years with Alessandro Pontremoli the Master in Social Community Theatre Centre | Unito.
The structure of Il Mutamento is formed by a core of worker members who deal with the artistic, organizational and administrative areas; among them Simona del Conte, Inti Nilam and Giuseppe Steriti. The actors Alberto Pagliarino, Gabriele Zunino, Michela Di Martino, Serena Cossotto, Diego Coscia, Luca Lusso, the musicians Fabrizio Modonese Palumbo, Paul Beauchamp, Elisa Fighera, the technicians Federico Merula, Erwin Stainer, Agostino Nardella. Since 2017, several young people under 35 have been added, including Costanza Frola, Daniele Ronco, Jacopo Trebbi, Lorenzo Rota, Federica Leone, young participants of the YEPP Porta Palazzo project (among them many first and second generation migrants). The stable core is also joined by a variable number of hired workers depending on the artistic program.
