eVenti Verticali promotes Vertical Theatre as an original, distinctive and multidisciplinary language.
eVenti Verticali is an A.S.D.C.R. (Association of Amateur Sports, Cultural and Recreational) that pursues the goal of promoting vertical theater through the creation of courses and performances of different artistic and sports disciplines that gravitate around the world of dance and “vertical”.
In ten years of activity the association has proposed to its members or to the members of other associations, numerous courses in Vertical Dance, Physical Theatre, Acrobatics, Clowning but also Sport Climbing and, with particular success in recent years, Canyoning.
Activities strictly related to verticality are aimed at addressing and overcoming the fear of heights, acquiring confidence in materials and techniques, and learning operations at height with particular attention to rescue maneuvers.
Our operators all have certification of having completed training as a designated operator with the role of supervisor of workers assigned to rope access and positioning systems (“Legislative Decree no. 81 of 9 April ex Legislative Decree 8 July 2003, no. 235).
What is Vertical Theatre? It is born from vertical dance. The vertical space becomes a sort of floor on which the performers, held by harnesses and hanging from a rope, dance, jump, run, act,… using the wall as an orthogonal work surface.
We understand Vertical Theatre as a language that uses different artistic forms ranging from theatre to circus, from graphics to acrobatics, from dance to music, from visual comedy to new technologies; disciplines that project their knowledge on unusual and surprising theatrical places that are towers, facades, bell towers, walls, cliffs, trees and large open spaces.
What we are. eVenti Verticali is an amateur sports and cultural association that promotes the search for an original way of doing theater in vertical and aerial spaces.
How long? Founded in 2006 from an idea by Andrea and Luca Piallini, the association has created courses and shows around the world promoting the Vertical Theater in about twenty countries. The idea of shifting attention to the vertical plane came in Gdansk in 2003 during a show with a descent on a rope from a window.
