Bocheteatro was born in 1988, from an idea by Giovanni Carroni, with the aim of creating a place of artistic experimentation where shows, workshops, festivals and connections for adults and children could be born.
In 2018 it celebrates its 30th anniversary, a little more than its silver wedding and with an eye on its golden one. During all these years, various places have been “inhabited” by Bocheteatro projects. Since October 2016, Teatro San Giuseppe has represented a new stage in the long research through the most varied forms of art, a space that is both a residence atelier, a place of thought, experimentation and artistic production, but, above all, a place in which to build a real relationship between artists and spectators.
A space, physical and intellectual, where the actor meets the spectator, in the reddest scenic space and in its most “everyday” version. That explosion of culture that allows the birth of new artistic forms of thought, relationship and evolution.
Today Bocheteatro is one of the few theatre and music organisations in Sardinia not closed within the confines of the Island, but open to meeting, to artistic and human comparison, to sharing common paths between the best artists of the national innovative theatre and the public.
