Hamlet is in a room and lives his story in complete solitude. The facts, the characters, have fallen before his eyes and despite his will and his desires he must confront them and make decisions. Hamlet must solve his story alone, he must stay there talking to absent characters. The only real presence is the ghost of his father who as such will inform him of what really happened. The empty chairs will be the only witnesses of his experience.
