“Jerzu Teatrofestival” – at the tip of the glass

Sponsored by Cantina Antichi Poderi di Jerzu, it is the first part of the project “Ogliastra Teatro 2002” which is divided into three phases during the year. It is held in Jerzu from 6 to 9 August and includes meetings, theatre workshops and shows that take place in the cellars, streets and houses of the town.

Perdasdefogu with two events respectively on Monday 1st August and Thursday 5th August, will act as a forerunner to “Jerzu Teatrofestival”.

The second phase, on “Theatre and Discomfort”, will be held in Lanusei from 24 to 26 October, with meetings and shows at the Teatro Tonio Dei.

“Our activity in Ogliastra is not limited to organizing an event with a precise beginning and end – explains the artistic director Giancarlo Biffi -. Ours is a choice of permanent theatrical intervention, to vitalize and maintain high commitment in one of the most beautiful areas of Sardinia”. Precisely for this reason Ogliastra Teatro this year is divided into three tranches for a period that goes from August to December and revolves around the towns of Jerzu, Perdasdefogu and Lanusei. The festival is organized with the support of Eti, the municipalities involved, and the mountain community.
