2nd Festival dei Tacchi
Ogliastra Teatro
The program of the second edition of Ogliastra Teatro will take place in the municipalities of Tortolì, Lanusei and Perdasdefogu and includes, in addition to various workshops with the children who attend the schools of the various Ogliastra centers, also numerous performance events that will be concentrated in Tortoli and Perdasdefogu from 1 to 11 August (Festival) to conclude with the workshop events at the Teatro Tonio Dei in Lanusei in autumn.
The rich program of the Festival, characterized by a great variety of ways of making theater, was illustrated by Giancarlo Biffi, artistic director and director of the Cada Die Teatro company that organizes in collaboration with Anfiteatro Sud. The Ogliastra Theater Project in its second year of activity realizes at least two of the objectives it had set itself: to stabilize, by increasing it, the ministerial funding coming from the government decree on the ‘Disadvantaged Areas’ and to widen its field of intervention to Ogliastra. In fact, the Italian Theater Authority, which manages these funds, co-finances the 2001 activity and the local administrations involved, from the Mountain Community of Ogliastra to the Province of Nuoro, favor the widening of the project to the whole of Ogliastra together with the direct funding of the Municipalities of Tortoli, Perdasdefogu and Lanusei.
In short, the idea of a deep-rooted and stable project is gaining ground, meaning not the simple repetition year after year of a review, festival or season, but a series of initiatives that range from the workshop to open rehearsals to actual shows, initiatives connected to each other by the same common thread: building a place where theatre finds its original meaning in relation to a community. For us, this meaning is building better citizens. An idea, a project for a concrete meeting between possible theatres, different from each other, perhaps artistically at opposite ends of the spectrum, but interested in the severe discipline of dialogue with a community that wants and expects this dialogue. The aim is to create a bond between the territory and the theatrical event that breaks away from the ‘hit and run’ logic, a bond that is left with biological, peasant times, to be able to be born, grow and strengthen over time, free from the logic of the box office, from the nightmare of the ‘big name’ on the playbill. The festival that will take place in Tortoli and Perdasdefogu this year takes on the characteristics of a Festival. It is moving to August (1-11) at the request of the Municipalities, Pro Loco, economic operators etc. to enrich the cultural offer in a territory committed to attracting more tourists in Sardinia and will materialize not only with evening shows, but will give the residents, the many emigrants returning for the holidays and tourists, the opportunity to experience entire evenings dedicated to the theater. We want the theater to become part of the daily life of cities and towns, we want everyone to include it in their daily activities.
The events are held with the collaboration and patronage of the Pro Loco of Tortoli-Arbatax and Perdasdefogu and with the support of the Fondazione Banco di Sardegna, dell’Isola, the Cantina Antichi Poderi di Jerzu, the Gruppo Editoriale L’Unione and the periodical Sardinius.
In Tortoli, before the shows, you can taste typical products offered by: Miliacru – the Nuoro dairy, Funte Fria, Sa Buttega, Market Girasole, Pane e Dolce – Costa di Sardegna, Rosticceria e gastronomia Luciano e Rosetta and Formaggi sardi di Vacca Massimo. The set-ups will be set up in collaboration with Event service, while Radio Stella will ensure daily connections with the Festival.

Workshops
The review opens with the outcome of the workshop with the children of the Tortoli schools directed by Alessandro Lay and Pierpaolo Piludu “Family Dialogues”, on August 10th the one held by Susanna Mameli and Sergio Cadeddu of Anfiteatro Sud entitled “Those who do not make history” and will end on August 11th, on the beach of Porto Frailis, with an event/reworking of the landings of the Saracens created with the collaboration of Alessandro Mascia of Cada Die Teatro from an idea of Elvira Depau, volcanic president of the Pro Loco of Tortoli-Arbatax.
We started, like last year, with theater workshops, aimed at high school students and young people so that, through theater activities, they can identify ways to overcome various forms of hardship or better opportunities for inclusion in the social context. This laboratory activity is organized in all the municipalities involved in the project: Tortoli (spring/summer), Lanusei (autumn), Perdasdefogu (autumn-winter).

Those who do not make history
ANFITEATROSUD
2001 AD. A ragtag group of dancers from a cult show occupy a television studio to denounce the degradation of the female image, sold off as cannon fodder in television programs, magazines, and tabloids. They ask for "dignity and social equality" but during the protest the lack of cultural references to draw inspiration from and the complete removal of women from History also emerge. "His Emittence" will do everything he can to prevent the program...

The landing of the Saracens
PRO LOCO TORTOLÌ/ARBATAX - CADA DIE TEATRO
In recalling places and events of a distant time when history and legend were inextricably intertwined, we can only try to recover the echoes, the mythology and a bit of memory in the tradition that has come down to us. “The landing of the Saracens” will tell one of the many stories that can be found in Sardinia: the raids of Saracen pirates on our coasts. Such events often caused deaths and suffering, kidnappings and thefts. Sometimes we we...
