theater laboratory dedicated to young people and new languagescurated by Mauro Mouwith the collaboration of Francesca Pani andLara Farci
The project aimed at teenagers was born in 2004 during a workshop dedicated to new possible paths, organized for the “Ogliastra theatre” event. On that occasion, young people from all over Sardinia met who, following the experience, gave life to a permanent project dedicated to young people and new languages. Cuori di panna Smontata is now in its eighteenth year of activity and continues as a permanent laboratory that develops original projects from time to time. The project, which is based within the School of Scenic Arts La Vetreria of Cada Die Teatro, has become a point of reference for young people from Cagliari and Sardinia who are approaching the world of theatre. It focuses on the research and study of innovative languages and on the development of new themes, adopting the English terms of “open content” and “open source”, i.e. seeking a collective methodology for processing and stimulating the creative path. All participants are asked to be authors and responsible for the development and growth of the group’s artistic path. A project by everyone, for everyone.
This methodology has led us to take different work paths over the years. Periods dedicated to study and research are constantly alternated with moments of discussion with the public, as part of exhibitions and events of regional and national importance. The course aims to provide participants with the fundamental elements of acting practice. The working group will be engaged in a training course which involves the use of the techniques of the actor’s work (improvisation, use of space, voice, elements of character construction), collective writing, scenic composition, rhythm and sound, study of the scenes and the dramaturgical path, construction and use of the sets, lights and music.
