Pinin is a solitary inhabitant of the woods. He hasn’t returned to town for a long time. To the few who manage to find him, he talks about his life, about a long journey, about a love, about memories, about possible worlds. And about “masche”, friends and strangers, protectors and cruel. To meet Pinin, you have to go to his places, which are far from civilization, from the noises of today. So you have to first walk along small paths and then wait in a specific place, among the thick trees, taking a place around a torch. And, if you’re not too noisy or curious, he, Pinin, might arrive. He’s brusque, wild, he doesn’t like to talk but, if he gets the good streak, he can talk for a long time. His are stories of trees, of men, of a distant love. They are also stories of wars, of memories, of travels, of escapes. And they are, above all, stories of masche, stories of those beings who protect, in their own way, the earth.
