The Company was founded in 1999 by Alessandro Serra as a group of research and theatrical creation. Starting from the study of physical actions and vibratory songs in the tradition of Grotowski, it later approached the objective laws of stage movement transcribed by Mejercho’ld and Decroux. Fundamental, in the formative years, was the meeting with Yves Lebreton and his method of Corporeal Theatre.
The works of Teatropersona are born through research work based on the centrality of the actor, the composition of the image and a dramaturgical use of lights, objects and sounds. The creations have been presented in prestigious festivals in many European countries, as well as in Asia, South America, Russia, the United Kingdom.
