Among the spectacular scenery of the Tacchi d’Ogliastra and the streets of the villages perched among the mountains, for eight days, from morning to night, theatrical shows with great national and international artists, performances by emerging realities, theatrical workshops, book presentations, adventures to discover the natural attractions and the artistic, cultural and food and wine excellences of the area.

Among the great returns of the eighteenth edition: Marco Paolini, Ascanio Celestini and, after 30 years of absence from the island, the Swiss Gardi Hutter. Among the new features, the theatrical debut of Michela Murgia in the role of Grazia Deledda, in the stage reading of Quasi Grazia, a new production by Sardegna Teatro based on the novel of the same name by Marcello Fois; Macbettu, Shakespeare’s work in Sardinian that is enjoying great success throughout the country; Cielo Nero, the new work by Cada Die Teatro written together with Francesco Niccolini, the result of research on the themes of war that Pierpaolo Piludu has been carrying out for over 10 years. A cross-section of the fervor of the national scene is represented by the Pleiadi art production companies with Ahab and Passioni, Teatro Invito that will bring Macbeth to a kitchen, Fontemaggiore that, in this strongly Shakespearean edition, presents Enrico and Quinto; Bocheteatro with the homage to Nivola; the performance of the very young Silvia Girardi inspired by the plant world.

During this Festival, designed for everyone, there will be no shortage of shows and activities dedicated to the little ones, such as the unmissable appointment with one of the adventures of Rosmarino, the hero owl by Giancarlo Biffi, protagonist of 7 stories (the eighth will be released in September), Melarancio with Viaggio ad Auschwitz A/R, winner of the prestigious Eolo Award, and Gardi Hutter herself, with her hilarious and crazy gags inspired by Joan of Arc. The section dedicated to books, on stage with local and national authors, is always a success.

A Festival to experience for 8 days, with the workshop Raccontare Shakespeare conducted by Alessandro Lay (open to all – registration until July 20), the masterclass conducted by Silvia Girardi with a final scenic outcome and the presentation of the work done during the year with the inhabitants of the area conducted by Cada Die Teatro and Cultarch. And many more activities to fully appreciate the days of the Festival. Every morning there will be a wake-up call with Yoga in the woods, weaving courses, learning about the works of Maria Lai at the Stazione dell’Arte, bike explorations in the open-air museum of the artist of the same name, trekking, climbing; a visit to the natural monuments and archaeological sites of Osini and the Tacchi d’Ogliastra with Archeotaccu; food and wine tastings and the discovery of the secrets of Cannonau winemaking together with Cantina Antichi Poderi.
