The Festival dei Tacchi is a multifaceted experience to be enjoyed in the heart of Sardinia, 20 minutes from the sea, among internationally renowned artists, workshops, excursions, food and wine and crafts, for a weekend or for the entire duration of the event (10 days).

Both the Festival activities and the locations where they take place enhance the image of the island, with a preference for natural places, often little known and rarely visited by tourists or residents.

The event hosts internationally renowned artists and is at the same time a place for the valorization of local culture and art. Ranging from contemporary, research and popular theater to circus and literature, it is aimed at all age groups and is able to potentially attract an ever-increasing number of spectators of all nationalities. There are also numerous collaborations with local cultural and tourism operators. From August 1 to 10, the municipalities of Jerzu and Ulassai will host the 17th edition.

Numerous proposals on the program, from theater to dance, from circus to music, through training and literature with Libri in scena. Among the protagonists of this year Toni Servillo, Marco Paolini, Marco Baliani and Lella Costa, Animal Religion, Marco Manchisi and many others. There are also various activities aimed at the public, aimed at promoting and discovering the territory: guided tours, workshops, yoga en plein-aire lessons, food and wine tours and tastings, in collaboration with local cultural and tourism operators.

New for 2016 is the initiative Con un libro a teatro (With a book at the theatre), in collaboration with local libraries, which offers discounted admission to shows to anyone who shows up at the box office with a themed book borrowed from the library or purchased at the Emmepi bookshop during the Festival.
