In an unnamed but recognizable northern Sardinia, the destinies of three families intertwine: the Arcas, the Nonnes and the Brancas. Everything changes when Piero Arca disappears on a snowy day bloodied by the carnage of his animals. From here begins for Giuliano a long and hallucinatory journey in search of his father between places of the past and new, full of experiences that will bring him back to the starting point, where events can take an unpredictable turn, reshuffling the fates of all the characters.
