Armamaxa is a word of Greek origin that means \u201cchariot\u201d. The Association \u201ctransports\u201d theatrical projects that are recognized in a necessary and human theater made of passion, time and research. Since 1998 the Company, born from the meeting of Enrico Messina, Micaela Sapienza and Massimo Momoli, has built a cultural and artistic path strongly linked to the present, in which ethics and aesthetics are not separated and whose original motivation is to be found precisely in the dialogue between art and society. This is how projects and shows were born: from \u201cBraccianti\u201d to \u201cMammaliturchi\u201d, from \u201cOrlando\u201d to \u201cOrecchiette\u201d, from \u201c1981 All\u2019inizio dell\u2019era del godimento\u201d to \u201cLa Diritta Via\u201d with the former magistrate Giuliano Turone, and to \u201cCroce e Fisarmonica\u201d\u00df dedicated to Don Tonino Bello (winner of the Teatri del Sacro 2013). <\/p>\n
Since 2008 Armamaxa has found a \u201chome\u201d in the Teatro Comunale of Ceglie Messapica, as part of the Teatri Abitati project of the Puglia Region. Evening productions are accompanied by those for children and families such as Robin Hood and The Snow Queen. In parallel, the company’s work has been directed towards the creation of \u201clarge events in the square\u201d in which the disciplines of Theater, Music, Dance, and New Circus, blended together to create the \u201cformat\u201d \u201cAll\u2019Ins\u00f9\u201d and, later, the traveling show \u201cOpera Povera: Verdi Cabaret for a company of wandering artists\u201d, which opened the great parade of floats in Putignano in front of over 70,000 spectators. <\/p>\n
In 2017, around the Armamaxa Theatre Residence and from the intersection of the artistic paths of Enrico Messina, Gaetano Colella and Daria Paoletta, the PagineBiancheTeatro project sprouts which, respecting the identities of each, intends to implement their artistic and creative paths, specificities and languages, while building a synergic organizational collaboration of the “company” and management of the Theatre of Residence. This is how shows such as “Icaro Caduto” were born, at the national debut for Primavera dei Teatri in Castrovillari in 2018 and, at the national debut in March 2019, the first work signed by PagineBiancheTeatro: “METAMORFOSI. Indistino Racconto”. <\/p>\n
