Later, in Naples, he formed the Rosso Tiziano company together with five other colleagues from the Palmi Academy, with whom he worked for 10 years of activity. In 2003, together with the playwright and screenwriter Francesco Suriano, and Elisabetta Nepitelli Alegiani, organizer, he founded the theater company Teatri del Sud. His career is divided between theater, cinema and television. Peppino Mazzotta&#8217;s longest-running role was in the series Inspector Montalbano, in which he played Inspector Giuseppe Fazio from the first episode of the series in 1999 to the last episode in 2021. The series is a faithful film adaptation of Andrea Camilleri&#8217;s books. In the summer of 2012, at the theater festival, &#8220;Positano Teatro Festival &#8211; Premio Annibale Ruccello&#8221;, he received the Annibale Ruccello award with the theater show Radio Argo. In November 2014 he received recognition from the national Vincenzo Padula award in Acri. In 2014 he played the role of an entrepreneur in collusion with Calabrian crime in Francesco Munzi&#8217;s film Anime nere, which was presented at the 71st Venice International Film Festival. For this film he was nominated, together with his co-stars Fabrizio Ferracane and Marco Leonardi, for the Nastro d&#8217;argento for best leading actor. In view of the 2019 European elections, he expressed his support for \u201cLa Sinistra\u201d, a list that includes Sinistra Italiana, Rifondazione Comunista, L&#8217;Altra Europa con Tsipras, Convergenza Socialista, Partito del Sud and Transform! Italia. In 2021, he took part in the film A Classic Horror Story. At the beginning of 2022, he published L&#8217;azzardo, in collaboration with Igor Esposito.
