The Teatro Club Udine was born as a public association in 1960, under the presidency of Ciro Nigris and the artistic direction of Rodolfo Castiglione, with the support of the Autonomous Region of Friuli Venezia Giulia and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Udine e Pordenone (now Fondazione Friuli).<\/p>\n
With an activity lasting more than ten years and hosted mostly at the Teatro udinese delle Mostre, the structure has been responsible for two initiatives in particular, which have played a decisive role, initially even pioneering, in the birth, formation and growth of the territory’s sensitivity towards live entertainment.<\/p>\n
On the one hand, in fact, the programming of the annual theater seasons of the city of Udine; on the other, the organization of the \u201cPalio Teatrale Studentesco\u201d which, after the first edition launched in 1972 and since then without interruption, hosts in spring a varied program of youth shows, born in an original cross between the world of school and the theater experience.<\/p>\n
