Accordionist, pianist and composer. Salis has collaborated and still collaborates with numerous internationally renowned artists such as Francis Kuipers, Massimo Urbani, Enrico Rava, Paolo Fresu, Fabrizio Bosso, Rita Marcotulli, Stefano Bollani, Evan Parker, Javier Girotto and Aires Tango, Anouar Brahem, Michel Portal, Don Cherry, Don Pullen, Billy Hart, Ed Blackwell, Billy Cobham, Horacio “El negro” Hernandez, Han Bennink, Nan\u00e1 Vasconcelos, Cecil Taylor, Pat Metheny and many others. He has also collaborated with Pino Daniele, Ornella Vanoni, Teresa De Sio, Vinicio Capossela, Sergio Cammariere, Quintorigo and several other artists outside the strictly jazz sphere.
\nAn eclectic musician, Salis, throughout his career, has taken part in theatre projects (Remondi and Caporossi, Leo De Bernardinis), with Lucia Poli, Remo Remotti, Antonio Rezza and Ascanio Celestini. He has performed in film festivals (Venice Biennale, Taormina Festival, Solinas Award), dance performances (with Roberta Escamilla Garrison, Teri Weikel). With G\u00e9rard Pansanel he wrote the music for Eric Romher\u2019s film \u201cRacconto d\u2019autunno\u201d. With Paolo Fresu he wrote the reinterpretation of \u201cNon ti scordar di me\u201d for the music for Ermanno Olmi\u2019s film \u201cCentochiodi\u201d. He has participated in numerous national and international festivals including: Umbria Jazz, Roccella Jonica, Sant\u2019Anna Arresi, Berchidda, Clusone, Ravenna, Paris, Montreux, Nice, Le Mans, Madrid, Moscow, Barcelona, \u200b\u200bLondon, Bath, Oslo, Stockholm, New York, North Sea, Chicago, Montreal, Santiago de Chile, Tel Aviv, Rabat, Carthage, Ankara, Vancouver, San Paolo, Rio De Janeiro, Saint Louis, Senegal, Mexico City, followed by a tour that touched the major Mexican cities.
