The new Complesso Camerata was born in 1991, in Montecchio Emilia by Bruno Venturi, Oreste Braghieri, Gianluca Albertazzi, and Enzo Toto.<\/p>\n
Since the same year the group has been working with workshops, seminars and internships that, starting from Emilia Romagna, land in Sardinia and Sicily, the latter being lands where a natural listening and a possible land have been found. Starting from the name, we wanted to be \u2018beyond\u2019 and \u2018before\u2019 the theatre: beyond in the sense of music, and before in relation to referentiality; and yet the \u2018popular\u2019 matrix of our group aims not so much to give a theatre to the people, but to bring people to the reasons that animate and bring to life the instances of a theatre founded on a sense of permanent ethnographic and anthropological cultural research. Since 1991, the group has held about four hundred theatre pedagogy workshops, with children, teenagers and adults from different countries and cities, obtaining numerous awards and prizes – although it doesn’t matter which one or the other. He has conducted countless \u2018Summer Theatre Workshops\u2019 (experiences commissioned by municipalities or local associations, aimed at local people, generally aimed at valorising local traditions, stories and facts) and refresher courses aimed at teachers, on theatre pedagogy techniques aimed at young people.<\/p>\n
Since 1998, the new Camerata Complex has been part, organizationally and as far as the sole activity of producing shows is concerned, of the I.T.C. La fabbrica dell\u2019attore, of the Teatro Vascello in Rome directed by Giancarlo Nanni.<\/p>\n
