I present this theatrical research of mine with the term study; not only for me is \u201cTraces\u201d an unfinished work but it would pretend to never end. Try to imagine a sculpture that in itself could evolve in many directions and that instead continues to live as a continuous sketch, a trace of meanings yet to be assumed, of images yet to be evoked. After all, the trace is what is labile that is left behind, it is a sign of discovery, traces always tell something. When I read \u201cTraces\u201d by Bloch, which is at the origin of this enterprise, something similar happened to me and then I said to myself: will it be possible also in the theatre to create a condition of imaginative listening, where one can, as Bloch says, \u201cthink by telling stories\u201d, where the directions (even formal ones, of languages \u200b\u200bused) are multiple, open, not linearly definable? Wonder and enchantment, the two themes that have guided me, are places I often visit in my work as an actor or when I guide other actors, they are two profound substances of the theatrical act. I would like to present these substances through a kind of map, of different narrative constellations, like a multiform buzz of stories, anecdotes, memories, poems, digressions, reflections, questions. In the end, I would like the spectators to get up perhaps disconcerted, lost, but filled with other unsaid memories, eager to add other stories to the series, to complete not my work but their path within the map. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
