He lives and works in Catania. He is a director, actor, and playwright. Petri is a bitter-tasting monologue, the story of a man who happens to live near a Greek theater and develops a wise relationship with matter, until he finds a painful and true wisdom. Petri is the first written in Sicilian, and after numerous performances at theater festivals, it becomes a volume published by ‘Prova d’Autore’. With Marco Paolini, he wrote the text of Bestiario italiano. The following work, Villarosa, is a show about memory with a bilingual text and tells a terrible and forgotten page of our history: the Italian emigration to the mines in Belgium in the 40s and 50s, the tragedy of the Marcinelle mine and an unknown to most, a memorandum of understanding between the two governments through which Italian workers were “sold” in exchange for coal at a reduced price.
