Ulysses eh eh

AQUILONE DI VIVIANA

Give Ulysses back some humanity. Too often he is described to us as a Super Hero, a man with magical powers, different from all the others. Ulysses is a man and above all a child with all his sweet contradictions, contemptuous of danger, fearful, brilliant and capricious, so curious that he continually forgets the destination of his journey. But Ulysses in his odyssey is never alone: he is accompanied by his entire crew!

True protagonists of the journey, the sailors are also musicians, acrobats and inventors of fantastic ships and tell stories. The sailors continually remind us that every story, even the most tragic, always has a comic and grotesque twist. The music, played on stage by the musicians, follows the various stages touched by Ulysses and his shabby crew: from Brazilian to Neapolitan music and the songs, cheerful choral moments, underline the teamwork. The presence on stage of nine actors, allows to continuously invent new spaces and characters: the surprise is that Ulysses is never played by a single actor but by several actors, thus allowing the character a continuous and fun evolution.
