Dagli scarti nascon tesori

ALESSANDRO MASCIA / PIERPAOLO PILUDU

The documentary, closely linked to the show Pesticidio, and supported by the Fondazione di Sardegna, gives voice to women and men from Sardinia who tell the feasibility and success of totally eco-sustainable initiatives created with what is usually considered “a problem to be disposed of”. Unexpected visions and opportunities emerge: “zero-cost solutions” that could be applied in different areas and places. From waste, treasures arise is an invitation to take nothing for granted and to share experiences and alternative strategies to the failed “development models” responsible for the progressive exhaustion of life on our planet.

The protagonists of the interviews:

Maddalena Achenza (Architect, Professor at DICAAR, Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering of Cagliari);

Gianluigi Bacchetta (Director of the Hortus Botanicus Karalitanum and professor at the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences of the University of Cagliari);

Bachisio Bandinu (author of numerous essays dedicated to the culture and identity of Sardinia. Among his books are “Letter to a young Sardinian” and “We did not know. Nois no ischiamus”);

Ettore Cannavera (psychologist and pedagogue, founder and head of the La Collina di Serdiana Community, chaplain of the REMS of Capoterra);

Giuseppe Mariano Delogu (forestry technician, professor of Civil Protection Techniques at the University of Nuoro, author of the book “Dalla parte del fuoco”);

Daniela Ducato (founder of the Industrie Verdi EDIZERO Architecture for Peace supply chain, design of products and services for the health of people and the planet, President of the “Territorio Italia” Foundation);

Salvatore Porta (after thirty years of experience in the strategic marketing management of a multinational, since 2010 he has been interested in natural agriculture);

Sabrina Puddu (PhD in Architecture. Researcher at KU Leuven, Faculty of Architecture (Marie S. Curie fellow));

Giampietro Tronci (engineer, Green Building and Urban and Rural Landscapes sectors at Crùu studio);
