Marcello Fois

Marcello Fois was born in Nuoro in 1960 and lives in Bologna. His books have been translated into many languages. With Einaudi he has published Recent Iron, Better Dead, Dura Madre, Little Black Stories, Memory of the Void (Super Grinzane Cavour Prize 2007 – Superwinner Italian Fiction and Paolo Volponi Prize 2007), Sheol, The Last Time I Was Reborn, Always Dear, Stirpe (City of Vigevano Prize and Frontino Montefeltro Prize 2010), Blood from the Sky, The Other World, In the Time in Between (finalist for the Campiello Prize and the Strega Prize 2012), The Importance of Commonplaces (2013), Perfect Light (Asti d’Appello Prize 2016), Creative Reading Manual (2016), Almost Grace (2016), I Chironi (a trilogy that collects Stirpe, In the Time in Between, Perfect Light in a single volume), Of Saying Goodbye (2017 and 2018), the book in verse The Infinite Not Ending (2018), Peter and Paul (2019 and 2020) and The Invention of Italians. Where Heart Takes Us (2021).
