I am an Italian actor, pedagogue and director, I teach at the Teatro della Pergola in Florence, I specialize in reading Italian poetry aloud – body/voice exercises according to the mime method of Orazio Costa Giovangigli, I am part of a directing group, with Alessio Boni and Roberto Aldorasi and from January we are starting again with the show ‘Iliade – il gioco degli dei’ on tour for the second year.
In previous years we have staged ‘I duellanti’ by J. Conrad and ‘Don Quixote’ by Cervantes. I was lucky enough to be a direct student of Orazio Costa Giovangigli
(master of twentieth-century Italian theater, he trained numerous Italian actors and directors from Tino Buazzelli, Nino Manfredi, Luca Ronconi, Gianmaria Volontè, Gabriele Lavia, Roberto Herlitzka and many others) having been at his side as an assistant and collaborator in the last 14 years of his life, that is, until his death on November 14, 1999.
Having also trained as a pedagogue, I have continued his teaching for more than 30 years.
