Maurizio Giordo

A theatre actor and musician, he began his training in 2000 studying acting with Rosario Morra (Teatro Politeama-Naples), mime and mask with Michele Monetta (ICRA Project-Naples, Accademia Silvio D’Amico-Rome) and took part in various theatre and music training courses and seminars with Marco Baliani and Isabella Carloni, Coco Leonardi, Enzo Moscato, Luca Mascia (Commedia dell’Arte), Marise Flash (PiccoloTeatro), Lina Salvatore (ICRAProject), Malachi Bogdanov (RoyalCompanyShakespeare-London).

He studies basic acrobatics with Luca Piallini (eVentiVerticali) and Céline Brynart (École du Cirque-Bruxelles-BE). Ethnic-urban percussion with Denis Cabacho (Marseille-FR), Senegalese percussion with Mor Sow (Senegal), Ghanaian percussion with Abraham Mensah (Ghana), aquatic-electronic percussion with Christian Dietrichsen (Denmark).

Since 2003 he has worked as a professional in prose – among others – with Media Aetas-Napoli artistic direction Roberto De Simone, in the children’s theatre Teatro Stabile d’Innovazione La botte e circolare, ethnic theatre Compagnia Teatro Sassari, theatre for open spaces Theatre en Vol, as a mime in the opera theatre, narrator for the Orchestra Filarmonica della Sardegna, percussionist in the Belgian fanfare Les Fonfoireux-Bruxelles (BE).

He is the author, actor and director of the shows: How was the Giullare born?, a giullarata in the Porto Torres dialect and Italian freely inspired by Mistero Buffo by Dario Fo, Lulù and his magic suitcases, a small great clown show with juggling, acrobatics and micromagic, I viaggi di oggi, a theatrical musical auto-tragi-comic journey between low cost flights, trains and ships to and from Sardinia, Il filo rosso, stories and letters from prison, from Gramsci to the testimonies of inmates in Italian prisons, with the author and actress Nadia Imperio. Also In-pasto in-scena, a dinner show with theatrical sketches for all tastes with the actor Stefano Chessa.
In addition to Sardinia and the rest of Italy, he has acted and performed in Belgium, Denmark, Sweden, France, Tunisia, Montenegro and Serbia. Following the cycle of workshops I Ritorni – held by teachers Franco Graziosi, Guido De Monticelli, Kevin Crawford and Veronica Cruciani – he collaborated as an actor in the new 2011 production of the Teatro Stabile della Sardegna Su ballu e s’animas directed by Veronica Cruciani.

He studies clown-music-singing and clown-creation with Eric de Bont, director of the International Clownschool of Ibiza.
